just a size comparison of my QDclod (has its own page that is listed on the main page) and my Clod.
The Hummer/Humvee body on the Clod is on backwards - its not mounted - i run the truck with a "beater" body (the stock chevy pickup). Its on backwards because unless i swapped the body mounts(swapping them is a hassle) , the body sits with the front end jacked up too high - so its on like this for the pics. The body is from a Tonka toy - the 4 red lights mounted on the roof work, and it has sound effects built in - controlled by 3 switches on the other side of the body, and 3 huge levers on the rear of the body (UGLY, lol) Im thinking of covering the rear with a small "tarp", to look like a camper area, or covering it with a US flag........

The Clod is pretty much stock.....dual Mabuchi 540s (might have originally had Johnson 540s), msc (hopefully to be l be replaced soon - and to those of u on http://rcmt.net guys that are unaware, I NEED ESCs ! alot of them -"lowend" or "highend" - i need both, so let me know what u have up for sale/trade :-) stock gearing, and stock suspension. The aluminum bumpers were made by LASTCLODSTANDING on http://rcmt.net . (multiple "plug" ! lol) initially i wanted to trim the front one and remount it with new holes so that it wouldnt stick out as far from the front of the truck (to get a greater "angle of attack") but then i realized that as it is right now, it works well as an "endo" bar - so my clod doesnt flip fowards when i switch quickly from foward to reverse. and the rear one makes a pretty good wheelie bar. overall, im very happy with them :-) Rear steering is locked, im using a cirrus metal gear ball bearing servo up front (cs-80 2bbmg supertorq) i had to chop off the front of the chassis so that the servo wouldnt hit it - no big deal....less weight, lol

Even in stock form, this truck is tons of fun - once i get another one, im going to build an 8X8 - it will have a custom chassis and suspension system - until then, im just planning on an ESC - and ill probably try running an 8 or 10 cell pack - but im not switching motors cuz i dont plan on giving up any torque - and few motors have more torque than the mabuchi/johnson 540s - so why switch?:-)

If u email me, and please feel free to do so, include a reference to RC or this site in the "SUBJECT". i get alot of spam, so if i see a strange email address with no subject, or a subject that says "hi" or "hello", etc, im not going to read it - so u need to say something in the subject that makes it clear to me that your message isnt spam. ndumu@hotmail.com
